About Our Plumbing Services in Bee Cave

Bee Cave has grown into one of the most sought-after communities west of Austin, and the homes here reflect that. From the newer builds along the 620 corridor to the custom estates near Lake Travis, the plumbing systems in this area tend to be modern but not immune to issues. PEX lines, tankless water heaters, multi-zone irrigation systems, and high-end fixtures all require a plumber who actually knows what they're looking at. At Cold is on the Right Plumbing & Air, our technicians are comfortable working in newer construction environments where precision matters and mistakes aren't acceptable.

We know that Bee Cave residents don't have time for vague estimates or repeat service calls. That's why we come prepared, diagnose the problem accurately the first time, and give you a clear picture of what needs to be done and what it will cost before any work begins. From routine maintenance to complex repairs, our goal is simple: leave your home's plumbing in better shape than we found it, with zero surprises on the invoice.

Drain Cleaning

Even modern homes in Bee Cave deal with slow drains and stubborn clogs. Our professional drain cleaning services clear blockages in kitchen sinks, bathroom drains, and main lines without damaging your pipes. We use proven methods to restore full flow and help prevent future buildup.

Leak Detection

A hidden leak in a high-end Bee Cave home can cause significant damage before you ever notice a water stain. We use advanced detection tools to locate leaks behind walls, under slabs, and in hard-to-reach areas without unnecessary demolition. Catching a leak early is always less expensive than repairing the damage it leaves behind.

Learn More

Slab Leak Detection

Slab leaks are a real concern in the Hill Country, where shifting soils and temperature swings can stress even newer foundations. Our slab leak detection service pinpoints the exact location of the leak using non-invasive equipment, so we can plan the most effective and least disruptive repair possible.

Water Heaters

Hot water is a non-negotiable in any Bee Cave home, and we service all types of water heaters — traditional tank units, tankless systems, and hybrid models. Whether you need a repair, a new installation, or a full replacement, we'll help you choose the right solution for your household's demands and budget.

Learn More

Tankless Water Heater Installation

Tankless water heaters are a popular upgrade in Bee Cave's newer and custom homes, delivering on-demand hot water without the standby energy loss of a traditional tank. We handle full installations, including the gas line and venting work required for a safe, code-compliant setup that performs exactly as expected.

Learn More

Water Softeners

The hard water coming through Bee Cave homes is hard on fixtures, appliances, and plumbing over time. A properly sized water softener protects your investment by reducing mineral scale buildup in pipes, water heaters, and high-end faucets. We install and service water softener systems sized to match your home's specific water usage.

Learn More

Water Filters and Filtration

Clean, great-tasting water matters in Bee Cave, especially for homes on well systems or those wanting an extra layer of protection beyond the municipal supply. We install whole-home filtration systems and under-sink units that remove sediment, chlorine, and other contaminants for water you can feel good about using.

Learn More

Sewer Line Replacement

Sewer line issues can disrupt daily life fast, and in Bee Cave's newer subdivisions, root intrusion and settling can still cause problems even in relatively young systems. We assess the condition of your sewer line and handle full replacements when repair isn't the right long-term answer, using methods that minimize disruption to your landscaping and property.

Learn More

Gas Line Installation

Many Bee Cave homes feature gas appliances, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, and whole-home generators that all require properly installed gas lines. Our licensed plumbers handle gas line installations and extensions safely and to code, giving you the confidence that everything is connected correctly and inspected before use.

We Know Bee Cave Homes

Most of the homes we service in Bee Cave were built in the last 10 to 20 years, which means modern materials and systems — but that doesn't mean problem-free. PEX plumbing, while durable, can still develop fitting failures, and the high-end fixtures installed in these homes require a careful hand when repairs are needed. The hard water in this part of Travis County is relentless on water heaters and supply lines, and homes with multiple bathrooms, outdoor kitchens, and pool equipment put real demand on plumbing systems every day.

The Lake Travis area also brings its own considerations. Homes closer to the water can deal with elevated humidity that accelerates corrosion on exposed fittings, and properties on larger lots sometimes include private well systems that need regular attention. We've worked throughout Bee Cave, Lakeway, and the surrounding Hill Country communities long enough to know what these homes need and where to look when something goes wrong. That local experience means fewer surprises and faster solutions for you.

High Fives from Austin Homeowners

Graysen and Andrew from Cold is on the Right came out just a couple hours after I called and took care of cutting out my kitchen faucet. They were professional, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable, explaining everything in a straightforward way without any upselling or confusion. It was refreshing to get honest answers and excellent service so quickly. I’ll definitely be using them again for future plumbing needs.

We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is the water in Bee Cave and does it affect my plumbing?
The water in the Bee Cave and Lake Travis area is notably hard, with high concentrations of calcium and magnesium. Over time, this mineral content builds up inside pipes, water heaters, and fixture valves, reducing flow and shortening the lifespan of your equipment. Tankless water heaters are especially vulnerable and should be flushed annually in this area. A whole-home water softener is one of the best investments a Bee Cave homeowner can make to protect their plumbing system and appliances long-term.
My newer Bee Cave home is only a few years old. Do I really need to worry about plumbing issues?
Newer construction doesn't mean problem-free plumbing. In Bee Cave's newer homes, we commonly see issues with PEX fitting connections, improperly secured supply lines, and water heater scale buildup from hard water — all within the first few years of occupancy. Multi-bathroom homes with high fixture counts also put more stress on drain lines than many homeowners expect. Scheduling a plumbing inspection every couple of years is a smart way to catch small issues before they become expensive ones, regardless of how new the home is.
What are signs of a slab leak in a Bee Cave home?
Common signs include warm or wet spots on your floor, the sound of running water when all fixtures are off, unexplained increases in your water bill, and low water pressure throughout the house. In the Hill Country, shifting soils and temperature swings can stress even newer slab foundations, making slab leaks more common than many homeowners expect. If you notice any of these signs, it's important to call a plumber quickly. Slab leaks that go undetected can lead to serious foundation and structural issues that are far more expensive to repair than the original leak.
How much does a tankless water heater installation cost in Bee Cave?
Tankless water heater installations in the Bee Cave area typically range from $1,500 to $3,500 or more depending on the unit, fuel type, and whether any gas line or venting upgrades are needed. Homes that are upgrading from a traditional tank heater often require additional work to bring gas lines up to the flow requirements of a tankless system. While the upfront cost is higher than a standard water heater, the long-term energy savings and on-demand hot water performance make it a worthwhile investment for many Bee Cave homeowners, especially in larger homes with high hot water demand.
Do you service homes on well water in the Bee Cave and Spicewood area?
Yes, we work on homes with private well systems throughout the Bee Cave, Spicewood, and Lake Travis corridor. Well water in this area often carries higher levels of sediment, iron, and hardness minerals that can accelerate wear on water heaters, fixtures, and appliances. We can assess your current system, install whole-home filtration and softening equipment sized to your water quality, and address any pressure or supply issues related to your well setup. If you're not sure what's in your water, we can help you figure out the right testing and treatment approach.
How quickly can Cold is on the Right respond to a plumbing emergency in Bee Cave?
We prioritize emergency calls and work to get a licensed plumber to your Bee Cave home as quickly as possible. For burst pipes, major leaks, or sewer backups, our team comes prepared with the tools and parts needed to stop the damage and make repairs on the spot when feasible. Response times vary based on current demand and time of day, but our goal is always to get to you fast and communicate clearly about our arrival window. In the meantime, knowing where your main water shut-off is located can help you limit damage while you wait for our team to arrive.
