About Our Sewer Line Replacement in Bee Cave

Bee Cave is home to some of the most well-appointed properties in the greater Austin area, and that means sewer line issues here carry real consequences. Whether you're in a newer development along Bee Cave Parkway or an established neighborhood closer to the lake, underground sewer lines still take a beating from the Hill Country's rocky, shifting soil and the expansive clay that sits beneath many lots. Cold is on the Right has worked on sewer systems across this area and understands the specific challenges that come with the terrain and construction styles common in Bee Cave.

Our sewer line replacement service covers full trenched replacements as well as trenchless options where the site allows, minimizing disruption to your landscaping and hardscaping. We use high-quality pipe materials built to last and back our work with straightforward pricing before any work begins. Bee Cave homeowners expect a premium level of service, and that's exactly what we bring to every job.

Sewer Line Replacement Services We Provide in Bee Cave

Full Sewer Line Replacement

When a sewer line is too far gone for repair, a full replacement is the right call. We excavate the failed line and install new pipe rated for long-term performance, making sure the new system is properly sloped and sealed for Bee Cave's Hill Country soil conditions. This is the permanent fix that protects your home's value and sanitation for decades to come.

Trenchless Sewer Line Replacement

For Bee Cave homes with mature landscaping, stone driveways, or custom hardscaping, trenchless pipe bursting lets us replace the failed line with minimal surface disruption. A new pipe is pulled through the old one, fracturing it outward as the new line takes its place. The result is a fully replaced sewer line with far less excavation than traditional methods require.

Learn More

Sewer Line Camera Inspection

Before we recommend any replacement, we run a high-definition camera through your sewer line to see exactly what's happening underground. Cracks, root intrusion, pipe bellies, and collapsed sections all show up clearly so we can give you an accurate diagnosis and a specific recommendation. In Bee Cave, where cedar and oak root systems are substantial, camera inspections often reveal root-related damage that simple snaking won't resolve.

Learn More

Root Intrusion Removal and Line Replacement

The mature trees that make Bee Cave neighborhoods beautiful can also send roots deep into older sewer lines, cracking joints and eventually collapsing pipes entirely. We clear the root intrusion and assess whether the pipe can be repaired or needs full replacement. If replacement is the answer, we get it done with materials that resist future root penetration.

Learn More

Sewer Lateral Replacement

The sewer lateral is the section of line that runs from your home's foundation out to the municipal main, and it's entirely the homeowner's responsibility when it fails. We replace damaged laterals with properly sloped, code-compliant pipe and coordinate with the city as needed. Bee Cave's rocky substrate can make this excavation work challenging, but our crews are equipped and experienced for it.

Learn More

Drain Cleaning and Sewer Maintenance

Not every sewer problem requires full replacement. Regular professional drain cleaning can extend the life of your existing line and catch developing issues before they turn into emergencies. We offer hydro-jetting and mechanical cleaning services to keep Bee Cave sewer systems flowing the way they should.

Learn More

Emergency Sewer Line Service

A sewage backup or line failure is never a situation you can schedule around. Cold is on the Right offers emergency sewer service to Bee Cave homeowners who need a fast, qualified response when the problem can't wait. We arrive ready to diagnose and act, not just assess and reschedule.

Learn More

Pipe Belly Correction

A pipe belly forms when a section of sewer line sags downward due to soil settlement, creating a low spot where waste collects instead of flowing freely. This is a condition we see in Bee Cave lots where fill soil or rocky limestone layers cause uneven settling over time. Correcting a belly typically means excavating the affected section and relaying the pipe at the correct grade.

Learn More

Whole-Home Repiping

When sewer and supply line issues point to a systemic problem with an aging plumbing system, a whole-house repipe may be the most cost-effective long-term solution. We assess the full scope of your plumbing and give you a clear picture of what repiping would involve, including timeline and cost. Bee Cave homes with older original pipe materials are often strong candidates for this service.

Learn More

Sewer Clean-Out Installation

If your home doesn't have an accessible sewer clean-out, clearing blockages and inspecting your line becomes significantly more complicated and expensive. We install properly placed clean-outs that give future technicians easy access to your sewer system. It's a straightforward addition that saves Bee Cave homeowners real money down the road.

Learn More

Post-Replacement Inspection and Testing

Once a sewer line replacement is complete, we don't just fill the trench and call it done. We perform a final camera inspection and flow test to confirm the new line is correctly seated, properly sloped, and fully sealed before we sign off on the job. Bee Cave homeowners can feel confident knowing the system was verified end to end before we leave the property.

We Know Bee Cave Homes

Bee Cave has grown quickly over the past two decades, and most of its housing stock reflects that: well-built homes in the 2000s through the 2010s, many on larger lots with significant landscaping, backing up to the Hill Country terrain that defines this part of Travis County. That limestone and clay combination underneath can shift seasonally, and even newer sewer lines can develop bellies or joint separation when the soil moves. We've worked in enough Bee Cave neighborhoods to know that what looks like a simple clog on the surface often has a soil movement story underneath it.

The proximity to Lake Travis also matters. Lots near the water tend to have more established root systems, and cedar, oak, and juniper roots are relentless when it comes to finding pipe joints. Newer construction doesn't automatically mean newer problems are off the table — builder-grade pipe installations vary in quality, and we've seen issues in homes that are less than ten years old. When you call Cold is on the Right, you're getting technicians who understand the specific conditions in Bee Cave and won't waste your time with guesswork.

We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does sewer line replacement cost in Bee Cave?
Sewer line replacement in Bee Cave typically ranges from $4,000 to $15,000 or more depending on the length of the line, the depth of burial, the method used, and the complexity of the excavation. Trenchless pipe bursting tends to cost more upfront than traditional open-cut replacement but saves on landscaping restoration costs afterward. Bee Cave properties with large lots, mature trees, or significant hardscaping can push costs higher due to access challenges. The best way to get an accurate number is a camera inspection first, so you're not quoting a job you haven't seen. We provide written estimates before any work begins.
How long does sewer line replacement take?
Most residential sewer line replacements in Bee Cave can be completed in one to three days depending on the scope of work. A straightforward lateral replacement on a relatively accessible lot may wrap up in a single day, while longer runs, deeper excavation, or complex access situations can extend the timeline. Trenchless methods sometimes move faster since they require less excavation and site restoration. We'll give you a realistic timeline when we put together your estimate so you can plan accordingly.
Can tree roots really cause that much damage to sewer lines in Bee Cave?
Yes, and it's one of the most common causes of sewer line failure in Bee Cave. The Hill Country's cedar, live oak, and juniper trees have extensive root systems that actively seek out moisture, and even the smallest pipe joint or crack becomes an entry point. Once roots get inside a line, they expand over time, eventually cracking the pipe walls or causing complete blockages. Repeated snaking may clear the symptom temporarily, but if roots have compromised the pipe structure itself, replacement is the only permanent solution. A camera inspection will show you clearly whether roots have done structural damage.
Will sewer line replacement tear up my yard or driveway?
Traditional open-cut sewer replacement does require excavation, which means some disruption to your lawn, garden, or hardscaping depending on where the line runs. For Bee Cave homeowners with custom landscaping or stone features, we strongly evaluate trenchless pipe bursting as an alternative wherever the pipe condition and layout allow it. Trenchless work still requires small access pits at each end of the run but avoids open trenching along the full length of the line. We'll discuss both options and the realistic surface impact of each before you commit to anything.
Is sewer line replacement covered by homeowner's insurance in Texas?
Standard homeowner's insurance policies in Texas typically do not cover sewer line replacement due to normal wear, root intrusion, or age-related deterioration. Coverage may apply if a sudden, unexpected event caused the damage, such as a collapse from a specific incident, but this varies significantly by policy. Some insurers offer optional sewer line endorsements or service line protection riders that can help offset replacement costs. It's worth calling your insurance provider to ask specifically about your sewer and service line coverage before assuming the work is out of pocket. We can provide documentation of the damage if you need it for a claim.
My Bee Cave home is only 10 years old. Can sewer lines really fail that quickly?
Yes, and it happens more often than most homeowners expect. Builder-grade pipe materials and installation shortcuts during the construction boom can result in lines that develop problems within the first decade. Poor slope, insufficiently supported sections, or low-quality pipe joints can all lead to early failure regardless of the home's age. Bee Cave's shifting limestone and clay soil adds additional stress that accelerates settling and joint separation. If you're seeing symptoms like slow drains, recurring backups, or wet spots in the yard, a camera inspection is the fastest way to find out whether your newer home has an underlying sewer issue.
