About Our Drain Cleaning in Bee Cave

Bee Cave has grown quickly over the past two decades, and with that growth has come a lot of newer construction — homes in Hill Country Galleria, Falconhead, and Spanish Oaks that were built with modern plumbing systems but are now old enough to start showing their first signs of buildup and wear. Even newer pipes collect grease, soap scum, and mineral deposits over time, especially given the notoriously hard water in the Austin Hill Country. Our drain cleaning services are designed to address what's actually happening inside your pipes, not just push a clog further down the line.

We know Bee Cave homeowners expect a higher level of service, and we deliver it. That means arriving on time, explaining what we find before we start work, and using professional-grade hydro-jetting and camera inspection equipment to make sure the job is done thoroughly. Whether you're in a high-end custom home or a newer townhome near RM 620, we treat every property with the care it deserves — and we stand behind our work.

Drain Cleaning Services We Provide in Bee Cave

Hydro-Jetting

Hydro-jetting uses high-pressure water to blast through grease buildup, mineral scale, and stubborn debris inside your drain lines. For Bee Cave homes dealing with hard water deposits or years of accumulated soap and grease, it's the most thorough cleaning method available. It clears the full diameter of the pipe, not just a channel through the clog.

Kitchen Drain Cleaning

Kitchen drains in Bee Cave homes take a beating — cooking oils, food scraps, and dish soap combine to form thick grease buildup that narrows your drain line over time. We clear kitchen clogs completely and can advise on whether a garbage disposal issue is contributing to the problem. Fast turnaround so your kitchen is back in service the same day.

Bathroom Drain Cleaning

Hair, soap residue, and toothpaste buildup are the usual suspects behind slow shower and sink drains in bathroom-heavy homes. Bee Cave properties with multiple bathrooms are especially prone to simultaneous slowdowns when shared drain lines start to restrict. We clean bathroom drains thoroughly and check for any underlying issues that could cause repeat clogs.

Video Camera Drain Inspection

Sometimes a recurring clog or slow drain points to something deeper — a root intrusion, a pipe offset, or buildup in the main line. We use professional camera inspection equipment to see exactly what's happening inside your drain system before recommending any repair. It takes the guesswork out of the diagnosis and saves you money in the long run.

Learn More

Main Sewer Line Cleaning

The main sewer line carries waste from every drain in your home, so when it slows down or backs up, the impact is felt everywhere at once. Bee Cave properties near tree-lined streets and Hill Country landscaping can be vulnerable to root intrusion in older sections of sewer line. We clean main lines using professional equipment and can follow up with a camera inspection to confirm the line is clear.

Learn More

Sewer Line Repair and Replacement

If a camera inspection reveals cracking, root damage, or a collapsed section of sewer line, cleaning alone won't solve the problem. We offer sewer line repair and full replacement for Bee Cave homeowners who need a lasting fix. Our team handles the job from diagnosis through completion with clear communication at every step.

Learn More

Garbage Disposal Drain Clearing

A garbage disposal that drains slowly or backs up into the sink is often a drain line issue, not a disposal failure. Food waste and grease can accumulate just past the disposal connection and cause persistent slowdowns. We clear the line, check the disposal unit itself, and make sure everything drains freely before we leave.

Learn More

Floor Drain Cleaning

Floor drains in garages, utility rooms, and laundry areas are easy to forget about until they back up. In Bee Cave homes with finished garages or large utility spaces, a backed-up floor drain can cause real damage fast. We clear floor drains and remove the debris and sediment that builds up over time.

Learn More

Emergency Drain Cleaning

A backed-up drain doesn't wait for business hours, and neither do we. When a clog causes an overflow or multiple drains back up at once, it's a plumbing emergency that needs immediate attention. Cold is on the Right offers emergency drain cleaning for Bee Cave homeowners when the situation can't wait.

Learn More

Laundry and Utility Drain Cleaning

Washing machine drains and utility sink lines collect lint, detergent residue, and soap scum over time, eventually causing slow draining or overflow at the standpipe. These clogs are common in Bee Cave homes with high-efficiency washers that move a lot of water quickly. We clear the line and make sure it can handle the full drain cycle without backing up.

Learn More

Preventive Drain Maintenance

Staying ahead of clogs is smarter than dealing with backups after the fact, especially in a home where you entertain or rely heavily on your kitchen and bathrooms. We offer preventive drain cleaning for Bee Cave homeowners who want to keep their plumbing running smoothly year-round. Regular maintenance can catch early buildup before it becomes a full blockage.

We Know Bee Cave Homes

Most of the homes we service in Bee Cave were built in the last 15 to 20 years, which means the plumbing systems are relatively modern but no longer brand new. PVC drain lines in these homes hold up well, but they're not immune to grease buildup, hard water deposits, and the occasional root from the Hill Country landscaping that's become part of the neighborhood's character. We know what these systems look like and where they tend to develop problems first.

The water in the Lake Travis and Bee Cave area is notoriously hard, and that mineral content works its way into every drain line in the house over time. Combined with the larger homes and higher plumbing demands that come with the Bee Cave lifestyle — multiple bathrooms, big kitchens, outdoor entertaining areas — it adds up to drain systems that need real attention. When you call Cold is on the Right, you get a technician who understands all of that and brings the right equipment to handle it properly.

High Fives from Austin Homeowners

Graysen and Andrew from Cold is on the Right came out just a couple hours after I called and took care of cutting out my kitchen faucet. They were professional, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable, explaining everything in a straightforward way without any upselling or confusion. It was refreshing to get honest answers and excellent service so quickly. I’ll definitely be using them again for future plumbing needs.

We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does drain cleaning cost in Bee Cave?
Most standard drain cleaning services in the Bee Cave area run between $150 and $350 depending on the drain location and how severe the clog is. A simple bathroom sink or shower clog typically falls on the lower end, while a kitchen drain with heavy grease buildup or a main line cleaning with hydro-jetting will cost more. If a camera inspection is needed to diagnose the issue before cleaning, that's typically an additional charge. We always give you an upfront price before starting any work so there are no surprises.
Why do my drains keep clogging even after I've cleaned them?
Recurring clogs usually mean the root cause hasn't been addressed. Using a plunger or store-bought drain cleaner often clears just enough of the blockage to restore flow temporarily, but leaves buildup behind that quickly accumulates again. In Bee Cave's hard water environment, mineral scale can narrow a pipe over time in a way that makes clogs happen more frequently. A professional hydro-jetting service clears the full interior of the pipe and removes the buildup that keeps causing the problem. If clogs persist even after that, a camera inspection can check for pipe damage or root intrusion.
Does hard water affect my drains in Bee Cave?
Yes, and it's one of the more common contributors to drain issues in this area. The water in Bee Cave and the Lake Travis region has high mineral content — primarily calcium and magnesium — that leaves scale deposits inside pipes over time. This narrows the interior diameter of the drain line and creates rough surfaces where soap scum and debris cling more easily. The result is drains that gradually slow down and clog more frequently than they would with softer water. Professional drain cleaning removes that mineral buildup, and some homeowners in the area also invest in water softeners to slow the process.
How do I know if I have a main sewer line clog versus a single drain clog?
The clearest sign of a main sewer line clog is when multiple drains in your home back up at the same time or in sequence. For example, if flushing a toilet causes water to back up into a tub or shower, or if drains on the ground floor start backing up while upper floor drains still work, the problem is likely in the main line rather than a single fixture drain. Gurgling sounds from multiple drains simultaneously is another indicator. Single drain clogs affect only that fixture. Main line issues need professional attention quickly — ignoring them can lead to sewage backup inside the home.
Is hydro-jetting safe for the pipes in my newer Bee Cave home?
Yes, hydro-jetting is safe for the PVC and ABS drain lines used in newer Bee Cave construction when performed by a trained plumber. The pressure is calibrated to the pipe material and condition — it's powerful enough to remove grease, scale, and debris without damaging intact pipes. The one scenario where hydro-jetting requires extra care is with older or already-damaged pipes, which is why a camera inspection beforehand is sometimes recommended. For the relatively newer homes common in Bee Cave, hydro-jetting is typically an excellent option for a thorough clean.
How long does a professional drain cleaning service take?
For most single-drain clogs — a bathroom sink, shower, or kitchen drain — the job typically takes between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours from arrival to completion. A main sewer line cleaning or a service that involves a camera inspection before and after cleaning may take 2 to 3 hours. If we find a more significant issue like root intrusion or pipe damage during the inspection, we'll discuss next steps with you before doing anything additional. We work efficiently and won't drag out the job, but we also won't rush through in a way that leaves the problem half-solved.
