About Our Drain Services in Bee Cave

Bee Cave is home to some of the Austin area's newest and most well-appointed residential developments, but even modern plumbing systems run into trouble. Newer construction homes often come with tighter drain lines, garbage disposals that see heavy use, and plumbing layouts that can trap grease and debris in ways older homes don't. At Cold is on the Right, our licensed plumbers understand how these systems are built and where they tend to fail, which means we diagnose problems accurately and fix them the right way the first time.

From routine drain cleaning to more complex sewer line concerns, we handle every job with the precision and professionalism that Bee Cave homeowners expect. We use professional-grade equipment including hydro jetting and camera inspection to find the source of the problem, not just treat the symptoms. Whether you're a homeowner in The Hills of Lakeway, Falconhead, or anywhere along the 620 corridor, Cold is on the Right is your local drain specialist.

Kitchen Drain Cleaning

High-end kitchens in Bee Cave homes often come with garbage disposals, deep sinks, and island drain lines that are especially prone to grease and food particle buildup. Our plumbers clear kitchen drains thoroughly and inspect the full drain line to make sure the problem doesn't come back. We'll also advise on habits and products that keep your kitchen drain running clean longer.

Bathroom Drain Cleaning

Spa-style showers, soaking tubs, and dual vanities are common in Bee Cave homes, and all of them generate hair, soap scum, and product residue that accumulates fast. Our licensed plumbers clean bathroom drains at the source, not just at the surface, so you're not dealing with the same slow drain again in a few weeks. We handle every bathroom fixture type found in newer luxury construction.

Hydro Jetting

When a standard snake isn't enough, hydro jetting blasts drain lines clean with high-pressure water that cuts through grease, mineral scale, and heavy buildup. This is especially effective in Bee Cave homes where hard Hill Country water leaves deposits inside pipes over time. Hydro jetting restores full pipe diameter and flow rate, giving you a clean slate rather than a temporary fix.

We Know Bee Cave Homes

Most homes in Bee Cave were built within the last 15 to 20 years, which means the plumbing is relatively modern — but that doesn't mean it's immune to problems. Newer construction in this area often uses PVC and PEX systems that perform well, but drain lines in larger homes with multiple bathrooms, outdoor kitchens, and heavily used garbage disposals accumulate buildup faster than homeowners expect. We've worked in communities like Falconhead, the Woods of Bee Cave, and the Lake Travis corridor long enough to recognize the specific drain layouts and common failure points in the builds common here.

The Hill Country setting adds its own layer of complexity. Hard water loaded with calcium and magnesium is a daily reality for Bee Cave households, and that mineral content builds up inside drain fittings and p-traps even in newer pipes. Heavy rainfall events common to this part of Texas can also stress outdoor and yard drain systems quickly. When you call Cold is on the Right, you're getting a team that already understands what your home is up against — we're not learning your area on your dime.

We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does drain cleaning typically cost in Bee Cave?
For a standard drain cleaning in Bee Cave, most homeowners pay somewhere in the range of $150 to $350 depending on which drain is involved and how severe the blockage is. Kitchen drain cleaning with heavier grease buildup or bathroom drains requiring deeper auger work tend to run toward the higher end of that range. If we find that hydro jetting is needed, costs are higher but the results are significantly more thorough and longer-lasting. We always provide upfront pricing after assessing the situation, so you know exactly what the job will cost before we start. There are no hourly surprises or hidden service fees added at the end.
Why do my drains keep clogging even after I've had them cleaned?
Recurring clogs are usually a sign that the root cause wasn't fully addressed the first time. In Bee Cave homes, common culprits include grease accumulation deeper in the line that a basic snake doesn't reach, mineral scale from the area's hard water that narrows pipe walls over time, or a partial sag or obstruction in the line itself. If the same drain keeps backing up, it's worth having a camera inspection done to see what's actually happening inside the pipe. That gives you a clear picture of whether you need a more thorough cleaning, a repair, or something more involved.
Does hard water in the Bee Cave area affect my drains?
Yes, it does. The Hill Country water supply is high in calcium and magnesium, and over time that mineral content deposits on the interior walls of pipes and fittings, including drain-side components like p-traps and branch lines. You'll notice it as gradual slowing rather than a sudden blockage. Hydro jetting is particularly effective at cutting through mineral scale and restoring full flow capacity. Homeowners in Bee Cave who deal with repeat slow drains should consider annual or bi-annual drain cleaning as a preventive measure rather than waiting for a full blockage.
How do I know if I have a sewer line problem versus just a clogged drain?
The clearest indicator of a sewer line issue rather than a simple clog is when multiple drains in your home start backing up or slowing down at the same time. If flushing a toilet causes water to bubble up in a nearby shower drain, that's a strong signal the problem is in the main line rather than an individual fixture. Outdoor signs like soggy spots in your yard, particularly in a straight line from your house toward the street, can also indicate a sewer line leak or break. A camera inspection is the definitive way to tell, and we can have an answer for you quickly without any major digging upfront.
Is hydro jetting safe for the pipes in newer Bee Cave homes?
Hydro jetting is generally very safe for the PVC and ABS drain piping used in most Bee Cave new construction. The high-pressure water clears buildup without the mechanical abrasion that can scratch or stress pipe walls. That said, we always assess your specific plumbing before recommending hydro jetting to make sure it's the right tool for your situation. For older sections of pipe or certain fixture connections, a thorough auger cleaning may be the better approach. Our goal is always to choose the method that solves the problem without causing any secondary issues.
What should I do if a drain backs up during a heavy rainstorm?
Heavy rainfall events in Bee Cave can overwhelm yard drains, floor drains, and in some cases the main sewer line if the system is under significant pressure. If you notice water backing up into floor drains, bathtubs, or utility sinks during or after heavy rain, stop using water in the home immediately and call a plumber. Using additional fixtures can force more sewage into a backed-up system and cause overflow damage inside the home. Once the immediate situation is stabilized, it's worth having your outdoor drain lines and sewer cleanout inspected to identify whether the issue is debris-related or a sign of a longer-term drainage problem on your property.
