About Our Whole House Repiping in Bee Cave

Bee Cave has grown quickly over the past two decades, and while many homes here are newer construction, that doesn't mean they're free from plumbing concerns. Some of the earlier builds in the area used materials that have since proven problematic, and even well-maintained homes can develop pressure issues, pinhole leaks, or corrosion over time. Our repiping specialists work with Bee Cave homeowners to evaluate the full plumbing system and replace failing pipes with durable PEX or copper that holds up to the demands of a busy household near Lake Travis.

At Cold is on the Right, we understand that Bee Cave homeowners expect a high standard of service and clear communication throughout a project of this scope. We provide detailed estimates before any work begins, explain the materials and methods we recommend, and treat your home with the care it deserves. Whether you're dealing with recurring leaks, discolored water, or declining pressure at your fixtures, our team is ready to restore your plumbing system the right way.

Repiping Services We Provide in Bee Cave

Full Home Repipe

A full home repipe replaces every supply line in your house from the main shutoff to each fixture. For Bee Cave homes that were built in the late 1990s or early 2000s, this service addresses the full scope of aging or failing pipe materials before they cause serious water damage. We work efficiently to minimize disruption to your household.

PEX Repiping

PEX is a flexible, cost-effective pipe material that handles the temperature swings and water pressure common in the Bee Cave area. It resists corrosion and scale buildup, making it an excellent choice for homes on municipal water systems where mineral content can shorten the life of older metal pipes. Our technicians install PEX with care and precision throughout your entire plumbing system.

Copper Repiping

Copper remains one of the most durable and reliable pipe materials available, and many Bee Cave homeowners prefer it for high-end remodels and custom builds. Copper handles high water pressure well and has a proven track record of decades-long performance when properly installed. We carry and install copper throughout the full system for homeowners who want a premium, long-lasting result.

Partial Repiping

Not every home needs a complete repipe. If corrosion or damage is isolated to a specific area of your plumbing system, targeted partial repiping can restore performance without the full project cost. Our technicians assess the condition of your existing pipes and recommend exactly what needs to be replaced so you're not paying for more than necessary.

Leak Detection Before Repiping

Before beginning any repipe project, we use professional leak detection tools to locate all active and hidden leaks throughout your plumbing system. This is especially important in Bee Cave homes with slab foundations, where leaks inside the slab can go undetected until significant damage has already occurred. Identifying every problem upfront allows us to create a complete and accurate scope of work.

Learn More

Slab Leak Repair and Repiping

Slab leaks are a genuine concern for many Bee Cave homes built on concrete foundations, and when a slab leak is detected, repiping is often the most permanent solution. Running new lines above the slab eliminates the need to repeatedly jackhammer through concrete to access failing pipes underneath. We work with homeowners to determine the best rerouting strategy with minimal disruption to flooring and finishes.

Water Pressure Restoration

Low water pressure across multiple fixtures is one of the most common signs that a home's plumbing system needs attention. Corroded or scaled pipes narrow over time and restrict flow, leaving Bee Cave homeowners frustrated with weak showers and slow-filling fixtures. Repiping with new materials restores strong, consistent pressure throughout the entire home.

Learn More

Water Heater Integration

A whole house repipe is the ideal time to evaluate your water heater connections and upgrade to a more efficient system if needed. New supply lines paired with a properly sized water heater improve hot water delivery throughout the home and reduce the strain on aging equipment. We coordinate water heater upgrades seamlessly within the repiping project to minimize labor and downtime.

Learn More

Fixture and Valve Replacement

During a repipe, we inspect and replace shutoff valves, angle stops, and other components that may be showing wear. In older Bee Cave homes, these small fittings are often overlooked but can be the source of recurring leaks and water damage. Replacing them during the repiping project prevents future service calls and ensures the entire system is operating as it should.

Emergency Repiping Response

When a major pipe failure occurs, waiting isn't an option. Cold is on the Right offers emergency repiping response for Bee Cave homeowners dealing with burst pipes, catastrophic leaks, or sudden loss of water service. We respond quickly, assess the full extent of the problem, and get your water restored as fast as possible.

Learn More

Post-Repipe Inspection and Testing

Every repipe we complete in Bee Cave is followed by a thorough pressure test and final inspection of all connections, fixtures, and shutoffs. We don't consider the job done until we've confirmed there are no leaks and your system is performing at full capacity. You'll receive a walk-through of all work completed so you know exactly what was replaced and why.

We Know Bee Cave Homes

Most of the housing stock in Bee Cave was built during the community's rapid growth period from the late 1990s through the 2010s, which means many homes are entering the stage where their original plumbing systems start showing real wear. Some of those builds used polybutylene or early CPVC supply lines that have a well-documented history of failure, and the mineral-heavy water in this part of Travis County accelerates scale buildup inside pipes and fittings. We've worked on enough Bee Cave homes to know exactly what to look for and where problems tend to develop first.

The Hill Country terrain and proximity to Lake Travis also factor into how plumbing systems behave in this area. Homes on sloped lots sometimes have irregular water pressure that puts additional stress on pipe joints over time, and the soil conditions here can shift enough to affect slab-mounted lines in ways that aren't immediately visible. When Bee Cave homeowners call us, they're getting a team that has seen these specific failure patterns and knows how to address them thoroughly, not just patch them temporarily.

High Fives from Austin Homeowners

Graysen and Andrew from Cold is on the Right came out just a couple hours after I called and took care of cutting out my kitchen faucet. They were professional, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable, explaining everything in a straightforward way without any upselling or confusion. We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my Bee Cave home actually needs a full repipe versus a few targeted repairs?
The deciding factor is usually how widespread the problems are. If leaks keep appearing in new locations, your water pressure is low throughout the house, or your pipes are made from a material known to fail systemically, targeted repairs become a losing battle. During our inspection, we evaluate the condition and material of your existing pipes across the whole system. If corrosion or deterioration is localized, partial repiping may be sufficient. But if the underlying material has reached the end of its usable life, a full repipe is the more cost-effective choice over the long term.
What pipe material do you recommend for Bee Cave homes, PEX or copper?
Both are excellent options, and the right choice depends on your priorities and your home's specific setup. PEX is flexible, handles freeze-thaw cycles well, and is generally less expensive to install, making it a popular choice for full repipes. Copper is more rigid, has a longer track record, and is preferred by some homeowners for premium builds or remodels. The mineral content in Bee Cave's municipal water supply can eventually affect both materials, but proper installation and pressure management extend the life of either significantly. We'll walk you through the pros and cons for your specific home during the estimate.
How long does a whole house repipe take in a typical Bee Cave home?
Most whole house repipes in Bee Cave are completed in one to three days depending on the size of the home and the complexity of the plumbing layout. Larger custom homes or properties with multiple stories and extensive fixture counts can take closer to three to four days. We work efficiently and do everything we can to restore water service quickly so the disruption to your household is minimal. Before we start, we give you a realistic timeline based on the specifics of your home so you can plan accordingly.
Will repiping my Bee Cave home require a lot of drywall damage?
Some access cuts are typically required to run new lines, but experienced technicians know how to minimize them. We plan pipe routing carefully to limit the number and size of drywall openings, and we take care to protect your finished surfaces throughout the process. We can also coordinate with drywall and paint contractors if you need help getting walls patched and finished after the repipe is complete. The goal is always to leave your home in better shape than we found it.
Does whole house repiping affect my home's resale value in Bee Cave?
Yes, and it's a meaningful factor in a competitive market like Bee Cave. Buyers and their home inspectors look closely at plumbing systems, and a home with aging or problematic pipe materials will often trigger price negotiations or sale contingencies. A completed repipe with documentation from a licensed plumber is a genuine selling point that signals the home has been properly maintained. Many Bee Cave homeowners find that the investment in repiping pays off both in peace of mind while they live there and in smoother transactions when they're ready to sell.
What causes pipes to fail faster in the Bee Cave and Lake Travis area specifically?
A few factors come into play in this part of Travis County. The municipal water supply in the Bee Cave area tends to have elevated mineral content, which accelerates scale buildup inside pipes and around fittings over time. Homes on sloped Hill Country lots can experience pressure variations that put additional stress on joints and connections. And some of the homes built during Bee Cave's rapid growth years used pipe materials that simply weren't designed for long-term durability. When you combine those factors, plumbing systems in this area can deteriorate faster than homeowners expect, which is why routine inspection and proactive repiping make a lot of sense here.
