About Our Plumbing Services in Cedar Park

Cold is on the Right Plumbing & Air has worked in Cedar Park long enough to know what these homes are dealing with. Neighborhoods that went up in the early 2000s are now hitting that 15-to-20-year mark where water heaters start to fail, supply lines wear out, and drain issues become routine. Meanwhile, newer construction in Cedar Park's expanding developments brings its own set of concerns, including builder-grade fixtures, pressure fluctuations as infrastructure catches up, and hard water that accelerates wear on everything from faucets to water heaters. We handle it all, and we handle it transparently.

Our licensed plumbers walk you through every diagnosis before any work begins. You'll know exactly what the problem is, what your options are, and what it will cost. Whether you're dealing with a stubborn clog in a home that's never had its drains professionally cleaned, or you're a new Cedar Park homeowner realizing the previous owners deferred some maintenance, we're here to help you get ahead of it. Stress-free plumbing service is what we're built on.

Plumbing Services We Provide in Cedar Park

Plumbing Repairs

From leaky faucets and running toilets to burst pipes and failing supply lines, our plumbers handle repairs of all sizes. Cedar Park homes in the 10-to-20-year age range often see worn valves, corroded fittings, and deteriorating supply lines that need attention before they cause real damage. We diagnose the issue quickly and fix it right.

Drain Cleaning

Slow drains and recurring clogs are one of the most common complaints we hear from Cedar Park homeowners. Years of buildup in older pipes, combined with hard water deposits, can restrict flow significantly. We use professional equipment to clear blockages completely, not just punch a hole through them.

Learn More

Water Heaters

Cedar Park's hard water is tough on water heaters, accelerating sediment buildup and shortening equipment life. Whether your unit is underperforming, leaking, or simply past its prime, we can repair, replace, or upgrade it. We carry options from traditional tank units to energy-efficient tankless systems.

Learn More

Tankless Water Heater Installation

Tankless water heaters are a popular upgrade in Cedar Park, especially in growing households that are tired of running out of hot water. These systems heat water on demand and last significantly longer than traditional tank units. We size, install, and configure the right unit for your home's specific flow demands.

Leak Detection

Hidden leaks can go unnoticed for months in Cedar Park homes, quietly driving up water bills and causing structural damage behind walls or under floors. We use non-invasive leak detection equipment to pinpoint the source without tearing apart your home. Catching a leak early is almost always cheaper than dealing with the damage it causes.

Learn More

Slab Leak Detection

Slab leaks are a real concern in Cedar Park, where the expansive clay soil shifts with seasonal dry spells and can stress the pipes running beneath your foundation. Signs include warm spots on the floor, unexplained increases in your water bill, or the sound of running water when everything is turned off. We locate and address slab leaks before foundation damage compounds the problem.

Learn More

Whole House Repiping

Homes built in Cedar Park during the late 1990s and early 2000s may have polybutylene or early CPVC piping that has reached the end of its reliable service life. If you're seeing repeated leaks in different parts of the house, repiping the whole system is often the most cost-effective long-term solution. We handle full repipe projects with minimal disruption to your family.

Learn More

Sewer Line Replacement

Tree roots, ground movement, and aging pipe materials can all compromise sewer lines in Cedar Park's established neighborhoods. A failing sewer line is not something to put off — backups and sewage issues can escalate quickly. We assess the condition of your line and handle replacement efficiently, whether it's a section or the full run.

Learn More

Water Softeners and Filtration

Cedar Park sits in one of the harder water regions in Central Texas. That mineral-heavy water wears on your fixtures, clogs your showerheads, leaves spots on dishes, and shortens the life of your appliances and water heater. We install whole-house water softeners and filtration systems that make a noticeable difference in water quality throughout your home.

Learn More

Garbage Disposal Services

Garbage disposals take a beating in busy Cedar Park households, and when they jam or fail, kitchen cleanup gets messy fast. We repair malfunctioning units and replace ones that are too far gone, making sure the new unit is properly installed and wired. It's a quick fix that makes a big difference in daily kitchen routine.

Emergency Plumbing

Plumbing emergencies don't wait for a convenient time, and in a busy Cedar Park household with kids and a full schedule, a burst pipe or sewage backup needs to be handled immediately. We offer emergency plumbing service so you're not left dealing with water damage or an unusable bathroom longer than necessary.

We Know Cedar Park Homes

Cedar Park's housing stock runs the gamut. You've got established neighborhoods like Twin Creeks, Buttercup Creek, and Forest Oaks where homes are 15 to 20 years old and starting to show their age in the plumbing system. Water heaters are hitting replacement territory, original fixtures are wearing out, and supply lines that were installed during construction are overdue for inspection. We've worked in these neighborhoods enough to know exactly what to look for and where problems tend to develop first.

Then there's the newer construction on the edges of Cedar Park, where builder-grade plumbing and hard water from the local supply are already creating wear faster than homeowners expect. The mineral content in this part of Central Texas is no joke, and it shortens the life of water heaters, clogs aerators, and leaves its mark on every fixture in the house. That's the kind of local knowledge that lets us give you a straight answer about what your home actually needs, without overselling or guessing.

High Fives from Austin Homeowners

Graysen and Andrew from Cold is on the Right came out just a couple hours after I called and took care of cutting out my kitchen faucet. They were professional, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable, explaining everything in a straightforward way without any upselling or confusion. It was refreshing to get honest answers and excellent service so quickly. I’ll definitely be using them again for future plumbing needs.

We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my Cedar Park home needs repiping or just a few repairs?
If you're seeing leaks in different locations around the house over a short period, or if your home has older polybutylene or original CPVC piping from the late 1990s or early 2000s, repiping may be more cost-effective than continuing to patch individual failures. A plumber can inspect your system and give you an honest assessment. Homes in Cedar Park's established neighborhoods are increasingly hitting that age window where this question comes up. We can typically assess the situation during a service call and walk you through what makes the most financial sense for your specific home.
Does Cedar Park's hard water really damage my plumbing, and what can I do about it?
Yes, Cedar Park has notably hard water with high mineral content that builds up inside pipes, water heaters, and fixtures over time. Sediment accumulates in the bottom of tank water heaters, reducing efficiency and shortening their lifespan. Showerheads clog, faucet aerators restrict flow, and appliances like dishwashers and washing machines wear faster. Installing a whole-house water softener is the most effective solution, and many Cedar Park homeowners also add a filtration system for drinking water quality. The investment typically pays for itself in extended appliance life and reduced repair frequency.
What are the signs of a slab leak in a Cedar Park home?
Common signs include a water bill that has jumped significantly without explanation, warm or wet spots on your floors, the sound of running water when all fixtures are turned off, or cracks developing in your flooring or baseboards. Cedar Park's expansive clay soil shifts considerably during drought conditions, which puts stress on the pipes running beneath your slab and makes slab leaks more common here than in areas with more stable soil. If you're noticing any of these signs, it's worth having a plumber run a leak detection check before the problem gets into the foundation.
How long does a water heater last in Cedar Park, and when should I replace mine?
Traditional tank water heaters typically last 8 to 12 years, but Cedar Park's hard water can shorten that lifespan if the unit hasn't been flushed regularly to remove sediment. If your unit is over 10 years old and you're noticing inconsistent hot water, rumbling or popping sounds during heating, or any signs of corrosion around the tank or connections, it's time to start planning for replacement rather than waiting for a full failure. Replacing proactively is almost always less disruptive and less expensive than an emergency replacement after a tank fails and floods a closet or garage.
Do you handle plumbing in both older Cedar Park neighborhoods and new construction homes?
We do, and there are real differences between the two. Older Cedar Park homes, particularly those built in the late 1990s and early 2000s, are dealing with aging infrastructure, worn fixtures, and pipes that may need updating. Newer construction often involves builder-grade components, pressure variations as the local water infrastructure catches up to growth, and hard water effects that start showing up sooner than homeowners expect. We're familiar with both situations and approach each home based on what's actually there, not a one-size-fits-all checklist.
