Emergency Plumbing Services We Provide in Cedar Park

Burst and Leaking Pipe Repair

Burst pipes can release dozens of gallons of water in minutes, and Cedar Park homes with older polybutylene or CPVC supply lines are especially vulnerable during hard freezes. Our team locates the break quickly, contains the damage, and makes a lasting repair so you're not dealing with the same problem twice. We handle everything from pinhole leaks to full pipe failures.

Clogged and Backed-Up Drains

From kitchen drain clogs in busy family homes to slow bathroom drains in older Cedar Park neighborhoods, we use professional-grade equipment to clear blockages the right way. Store-bought drain chemicals can damage pipes over time, especially in homes with aging plumbing. We get to the root of the problem and clear it completely.

Overflowing Toilets

An overflowing toilet is one of the most urgent plumbing emergencies a homeowner can face, and it needs attention before water spreads to subfloor, drywall, or the room below. Our plumbers identify whether the issue is a blockage, a faulty fill valve, or a deeper sewer line problem and fix it fast. We restore sanitary conditions and make sure the problem won't repeat.

Sewer Line Emergencies

Cedar Park's older neighborhoods have sewer lines that have had years to accumulate grease, roots, and debris, while newer developments sometimes see issues from settling soil around recently installed lines. A sewer backup is never a wait-and-see situation. We respond quickly to diagnose and address sewer line failures before they cause serious property damage.

Learn More

Water Heater Failure

When your water heater stops producing hot water — especially in a Cedar Park household running multiple bathrooms and a full laundry schedule — it needs attention right away. We repair or replace traditional tank and tankless water heaters and can often restore hot water the same day we arrive. Units in the 10-15 year range are especially prone to sudden failure and may be better replaced than repaired.

Slab Leak Detection and Repair

Many Cedar Park homes built in the 2000s sit on slab foundations, and leaks beneath that slab can go undetected for weeks while quietly driving up water bills and damaging your foundation. Our team uses non-invasive detection methods to locate slab leaks accurately before any repair work begins. Catching a slab leak early is one of the most important things a Cedar Park homeowner can do to protect their property.

Learn More

Leak Detection

Not all leaks announce themselves with obvious water damage. Hidden leaks inside walls, under slabs, or at plumbing connections can cause mold growth and structural damage long before you notice anything visible. We use professional leak detection equipment to find the source without tearing apart your home unnecessarily, saving Cedar Park homeowners significant time and repair costs.

Learn More

Garbage Disposal Repair

A jammed or broken garbage disposal can bring a Cedar Park family kitchen to a halt, especially when it's causing standing water or a foul smell. Our plumbers quickly diagnose whether the unit needs a simple repair or a full replacement and get your kitchen functioning normally again. We carry common disposal parts so most repairs can be completed on the first visit.

Water Line Emergencies

A broken main water line can cut off supply to your entire home and create significant water waste in a hurry. Cedar Park's clay-heavy soils can shift over time, putting stress on underground water lines connected to homes in established subdivisions. We locate the break, make the repair, and restore your water supply as quickly as possible.

Learn More

Toilet, Faucet, and Fixture Failures

Running toilets, broken shut-off valves, and failed faucets might not seem like emergencies until water starts pooling or you can't turn off the flow. These issues are especially common in Cedar Park homes that are hitting the 15-20 year mark, where valves and fixtures simply wear out. We fix the problem quickly and help you understand whether a repair or replacement makes more financial sense.

Learn More

Emergency Shut-Off and Water Damage Prevention

Sometimes the most urgent step in a plumbing emergency is simply stopping the flow of water before damage spreads further. If you can't locate your shut-off valve or it won't turn, our team can get to you fast and take control of the situation. Acting quickly in the first hour of a plumbing emergency is often the difference between a manageable repair and a major restoration project.

We Know Cedar Park Homes

Cedar Park has grown so fast over the past two decades that you'll find neighborhoods at completely different life stages sitting just a few miles apart. The homes built in the early-to-mid 2000s during the first big growth wave are now old enough that original water heaters, supply lines, and drain systems are starting to fail — often with little warning. We've worked in enough of those neighborhoods to know the common failure points and how to address them efficiently without unnecessary upselling.

Newer Cedar Park developments bring a different set of challenges: settling soil around recently buried lines, builder-grade fixtures that don't always hold up long-term, and plumbing layouts that can make diagnostics tricky without experience. On top of that, Cedar Park's hard water is genuinely hard on plumbing systems of every age, accelerating mineral buildup in pipes and water heaters alike. That combination of local knowledge and hands-on experience in this specific community is what makes Cold is on the Right the right call when something goes wrong.

High Fives from Austin Homeowners

Graysen and Andrew from Cold is on the Right came out just a couple hours after I called and took care of cutting out my kitchen faucet. They were professional, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable, explaining everything in a straightforward way without any upselling or confusion. It was refreshing to get honest answers and excellent service so quickly. I’ll definitely be using them again for future plumbing needs.

We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can you respond to a plumbing emergency in Cedar Park?
Response times vary depending on the time of day and how many calls we're handling, but we prioritize genuine emergencies like burst pipes, sewer backups, and complete water loss. In most cases, we can get a licensed plumber to your Cedar Park home within a few hours of your call. If you're dealing with active flooding or sewage backup, let us know right away so we can treat it with the urgency it deserves. The sooner you call, the sooner we can stop the damage from spreading.
Will emergency plumbing service cost more than a regular appointment?
Emergency or after-hours calls can carry a higher service fee than scheduled daytime appointments, and we'll always be upfront about that before we dispatch anyone to your home. We give you a clear price before any work begins so there are no surprises on the invoice. For Cedar Park homeowners weighing the cost, keep in mind that delaying a true emergency almost always makes the repair more expensive — water damage, mold, and structural issues escalate quickly. We try to make the decision as straightforward as possible by being honest about both the cost and what's at stake.
My water heater stopped working suddenly. Is that a plumbing emergency?
It depends on a few factors, but for a Cedar Park family household without hot water, it's usually worth treating as urgent. If your water heater is more than 10-12 years old, a sudden shutdown often means the unit has failed and replacement is more practical than repair. Younger units may have a failed heating element, a tripped reset button, or a gas supply issue that can be addressed more quickly. We can walk you through what to check before we arrive, and if the unit needs to be replaced, we carry common sizes and can often complete the installation the same day.
How do I know if I have a slab leak in my Cedar Park home?
Slab leaks are common in Cedar Park homes built on concrete foundations, which describes a large portion of the housing stock here. Warning signs include an unexplained spike in your water bill, warm spots on tile or hardwood floors, the sound of running water when everything is turned off, and visible cracks forming in walls or flooring. Some slab leaks go undetected for months because they start small and slow. If you suspect one, don't wait — the longer a slab leak runs, the more damage it does to your foundation and the more expensive the repair becomes.
Can tree roots really get into sewer lines in Cedar Park neighborhoods?
Yes, and it's more common than most homeowners expect, especially in Cedar Park's older established neighborhoods where trees planted in the early 2000s have had 15-20 years to grow substantial root systems. Roots seek out moisture and can work their way into small joints or cracks in sewer lines over time, eventually causing slow drains, gurgling sounds, and full backups. Newer homes are not immune either, since surrounding landscaping grows alongside the home. If you're having recurring drain issues or noticed gurgling from multiple fixtures, a sewer line inspection is a smart next step.
