Backflow Prevention and Testing

Commercial properties in Round Rock are required to have backflow prevention devices tested annually to protect the public water supply. We install, inspect, and certify backflow preventers for businesses of all types, keeping you in compliance with City of Round Rock requirements and avoiding potential fines or service interruptions.

Commercial Toilet and Fixture Repair

Running toilets, broken flush valves, and dripping faucets in a commercial restroom waste water and money at scale. We repair and replace commercial-grade toilets, faucets, and fixtures quickly so your facilities stay functional and presentable for employees and customers.

Commercial Pipe Repair and Repiping

Buildings constructed in Round Rock during the 1980s and 1990s may still be running on original galvanized or early CPVC piping that's approaching the end of its useful life. Persistent leaks, rust-colored water, or dropping water pressure across a commercial building are signs that a partial or full repipe may be the right long-term solution.

Grease Trap Installation and Service

Food service businesses in Round Rock are required to maintain functioning grease traps to stay in compliance with local wastewater regulations. We install new grease traps for commercial kitchens and service existing systems to prevent backups and keep your operation on the right side of health code inspections.

Commercial AC Repair

When your commercial HVAC system goes down in a Central Texas summer, it's not just uncomfortable — it can shut down operations entirely. Cold is on the Right handles commercial AC repair for Round Rock businesses, keeping your facility cool and your team productive through the hottest months of the year.

We Know Round Rock Businesses

Round Rock has been one of the fastest-growing cities in the country for a reason, and that growth shows in the commercial real estate here. You've got buildings from the early 1980s that predate some of today's plumbing standards sitting alongside structures that went up last year. Older commercial properties in established parts of Round Rock often have galvanized supply lines that are corroding from the inside out, cast iron drain lines that have shifted over decades, and water heaters that were oversized for a previous tenant's needs. Hard water from the regional supply accelerates all of it, leaving mineral deposits that restrict flow and shorten equipment life faster than business owners expect.

Newer construction in Round Rock comes with its own set of considerations. Fast-built commercial spaces sometimes have installation shortcuts that only show up after a few years of actual use, and PEX systems that weren't properly supported can develop problems at connections and transitions. Cold is on the Right has worked across enough of this city's commercial properties to recognize the patterns quickly, which means less time diagnosing and more time actually fixing the problem. When you call us, you're getting technicians who understand what Round Rock's building history and water quality do to commercial plumbing systems over time.

Graysen and Andrew from Cold is on the Right came out just a couple hours after I called and took care of cutting out my kitchen faucet. They were professional, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable, explaining everything in a straightforward way without any upselling or confusion. It was refreshing to get honest answers and excellent service so quickly. I’ll definitely be using them again for future plumbing needs.

We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does commercial plumbing service cost in Round Rock?
Commercial plumbing costs vary significantly depending on the scope of work. A straightforward repair like a fixture replacement or drain cleaning might run a few hundred dollars, while larger projects like sewer line replacement or commercial repiping can range from several thousand to tens of thousands depending on building size and the extent of the work. We always provide upfront pricing before starting any job, so you know exactly what you're committing to. Round Rock's hard water can also affect cost over time, since mineral buildup accelerates wear on water heaters, fixtures, and supply lines, which is worth factoring into your maintenance planning.
Do you service older commercial buildings in Round Rock?
Yes, and we do it regularly. Round Rock has a good amount of commercial inventory from the 1980s and 1990s, and older buildings often come with plumbing challenges that newer construction doesn't have, including aging galvanized pipes, cast iron drain lines that have shifted or corroded, and water heaters that are well past their service life. We're experienced in diagnosing these systems accurately and recommending repairs or replacements that make sense for the building's age and your long-term plans. We won't push a full repipe if targeted repairs will solve the problem.
How quickly can you respond to a commercial plumbing emergency in Round Rock?
We offer emergency plumbing service for commercial clients in Round Rock and aim to respond as quickly as possible for urgent situations like burst pipes, sewage backups, or complete loss of water service. Response time depends on current call volume and time of day, but we treat commercial emergencies with the urgency they deserve because we understand that downtime in a business setting has real financial consequences. When you call, be ready to describe what you're seeing so we can dispatch the right technician with the right equipment.
Is backflow testing required for commercial properties in Round Rock?
Yes. The City of Round Rock requires annual backflow prevention device testing for most commercial properties as part of protecting the municipal water supply from contamination. If your building has an irrigation system, fire suppression system, or certain industrial connections, you almost certainly need to have your backflow preventer tested each year and keep documentation on file. Failure to comply can result in fines or water service interruption. We install, inspect, and certify backflow prevention devices for commercial properties throughout Round Rock.
What are the signs that my commercial building needs repiping?
The most common signs that a commercial building's plumbing infrastructure is failing include consistently low water pressure across multiple areas, rust or discoloration in the water, unexplained increases in water bills, frequent leaks at different locations in the building, and visible corrosion on exposed pipe sections. In Round Rock, buildings from the 1980s and early 1990s that still have original galvanized steel pipes are particularly vulnerable because galvanized pipes corrode from the inside, restricting flow gradually before causing more serious failures. A licensed commercial plumber can assess your system and give you an honest recommendation on whether repairs or repiping is the right path forward.
Can you handle commercial plumbing work during off-hours to minimize business disruption?
We understand that some commercial plumbing work is hard to do while your business is open and operating. For jobs where shutting off water or working in customer-facing areas would be disruptive, we can discuss scheduling options that work around your operating hours. This is something to bring up when you call so we can plan accordingly and give you an accurate picture of how long the work will take. Not every job requires after-hours scheduling, but when it does, we want to make it as straightforward as possible for your team.
