About Our Commercial Plumbing Services in Georgetown

Commercial plumbing systems are a different animal than residential ones. Higher demand, more fixtures, complex drainage networks, backflow prevention requirements, and stricter code compliance all come into play. Georgetown's commercial landscape makes this even more layered: a restaurant on the historic square might have cast iron drain lines that are decades old, while an office suite in a Wolf Ranch development could be dealing with early-stage issues from new construction. Cold is on the Right has the tools and training to handle both ends of that spectrum and everything in between.

We provide full-service commercial plumbing for businesses across Georgetown, from routine maintenance and drain cleaning to complete system assessments and emergency repairs. Our licensed team communicates clearly, prices transparently, and treats your property with the same care we'd want for our own. Whether you manage a single commercial space or an entire multi-tenant property, we're the team Georgetown businesses call when they need the job done right.

Water Line Repair and Replacement

Commercial properties with aging water supply lines can see a steady decline in water pressure and an uptick in leak incidents before a major failure occurs. We locate water line problems, assess overall pipe condition, and perform targeted repairs or full replacements as the situation warrants. This is especially relevant for Georgetown's older commercial buildings where original supply lines have never been replaced.

Grease Trap Service

Georgetown restaurants and commercial kitchens are required to maintain properly functioning grease traps to prevent FOG buildup from entering the municipal sewer system. We service, repair, and help size grease traps for commercial kitchen applications. Routine grease trap maintenance is far less expensive than the fines or backups that come from neglecting it.

We Know Georgetown Businesses

Georgetown's commercial real estate is genuinely diverse in ways that matter for plumbing. The buildings along the historic downtown square have character, but they also have plumbing systems that may not have seen serious attention in decades. Cast iron drains, galvanized supply lines, and undersized water service connections are real issues in those older commercial spaces, and diagnosing them correctly takes experience rather than assumptions. We've worked in enough of those buildings to know what to look for before problems get expensive.

On the other side of Georgetown, developments like Wolf Ranch and the commercial corridors along Williams Drive and the 130 toll road are newer but not without their own challenges. New construction plumbing sometimes has installation shortcuts or spec-grade components that reveal themselves within the first few years of operation. Hard water from the local supply also accelerates wear on fixtures and water heaters faster than owners expect. Knowing the difference between a building age problem and a water quality problem is the kind of local knowledge that saves Georgetown business owners time and money.

High Fives from Austin Homeowners

Graysen and Andrew from Cold is on the Right came out just a couple hours after I called and took care of cutting out my kitchen faucet. They were professional, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable, explaining everything in a straightforward way without any upselling or confusion. It was refreshing to get honest answers and excellent service so quickly. I’ll definitely be using them again for future plumbing needs.

We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does commercial plumbing service cost in Georgetown?
Commercial plumbing costs vary depending on the scope of the job, the age and condition of the existing system, and the type of property involved. A drain cleaning or fixture repair might run a few hundred dollars, while larger projects like sewer line replacement or a full system repipe can range from several thousand to tens of thousands depending on the building size. We always provide clear pricing before work begins so you know exactly what to expect. Older buildings in Georgetown's historic commercial district sometimes require more labor due to access constraints or outdated pipe materials, which can affect the overall cost.
Do you work on older commercial buildings in downtown Georgetown?
Yes, and we have real experience with the kinds of plumbing challenges those buildings present. Older structures near Georgetown's historic square often have cast iron drain lines, galvanized steel supply pipes, and undersized water service connections that were installed decades ago under different code requirements. We assess the condition of existing systems honestly and explain what needs immediate attention versus what can wait. Working in older commercial spaces takes more patience and problem-solving than new construction, and we come prepared for that.
How often should commercial drains be cleaned in a restaurant or food service business?
Most food service businesses in Georgetown should have their commercial drains professionally cleaned at least twice a year, with higher-volume kitchens benefiting from quarterly service. Grease, food debris, and FOG buildup accumulate faster than most operators expect, and by the time a drain is visibly slow, the blockage is already advanced. Georgetown's hard water supply also contributes to scale buildup inside drain lines over time, which reduces flow capacity even when grease is managed well. Routine cleaning is significantly less expensive than an emergency call during a dinner rush.
What are the backflow prevention requirements for commercial properties in Georgetown?
Commercial properties in Georgetown are required by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality rules and local water utility guidelines to install and maintain certified backflow prevention assemblies on their water service connections. The specific type of device required depends on the hazard level associated with your business, with restaurants, medical facilities, and properties using irrigation or chemical injection systems typically needing higher-level protection. These assemblies must be tested annually by a licensed tester and any failed devices must be repaired promptly. We install, test, and repair backflow preventers for Georgetown commercial properties and can help you understand exactly what your facility requires.
Can you handle plumbing for a commercial build-out or tenant improvement in Georgetown?
Yes. Commercial build-outs and tenant improvements are a significant part of what we do, particularly given how much new commercial development is happening in Georgetown right now. Whether you're building out a new restaurant, converting retail space, or expanding an office, we work with your contractor or property manager to rough in new plumbing, install fixtures, and tie into existing systems correctly. We pull permits where required and ensure all work meets current commercial plumbing code. Starting the conversation early in the planning process helps avoid costly changes during construction.
How does Georgetown's hard water affect commercial plumbing systems?
Georgetown's water supply comes from the Edwards Aquifer and local surface sources, and it carries a high mineral content that qualifies as hard to very hard water. Over time, calcium and magnesium deposits accumulate inside pipes, water heaters, and fixtures, reducing flow capacity and shortening equipment lifespan. Commercial water heaters are especially vulnerable because scale buildup acts as insulation on the heating element, forcing the unit to work harder and eventually fail prematurely. Businesses that rely heavily on hot water, like restaurants, laundromats, and salons, often see water heater performance decline within a few years without any treatment in place. We can assess the impact of scale on your existing equipment and discuss options ranging from descaling to water softening or filtration.
