About Our Plumbing Repair Services in Georgetown

Georgetown's unique mix of housing stock means no two plumbing calls are alike. Older homes in the historic district may have aging galvanized pipes, corroded fittings, or outdated drain systems that need careful, experienced hands. Meanwhile, the massive master-planned communities that have reshaped the north part of the city bring their own challenges — high-volume construction timelines, builder-grade fixtures, and rapid growth that can strain municipal water infrastructure. Cold is on the Right Plumbing & Air is equipped to handle all of it.

Our licensed plumbers serve Georgetown homeowners with honest diagnostics, clear explanations, and repairs built to last. We use professional-grade tools and specialized equipment to pinpoint problems accurately, whether that's a slab leak beneath your foundation, a failing water heater, or a clogged sewer line backing up into your home. Georgetown residents get the same quality and transparency we bring to every job across the greater Austin area — no hidden fees, no upselling, just reliable work from plumbers who know this community.

Plumbing Repairs We Provide in Georgetown

Emergency Plumbing

Our team responds quickly to plumbing emergencies across Georgetown, whether you're in an older home near the historic square or a newer neighborhood off Ronald Reagan Boulevard. We stabilize the situation fast and get your home protected.

Leak Detection

A hidden leak inside a wall or under a slab can do serious damage before you even notice it. We use advanced detection equipment to find leaks without unnecessary demolition — important in both Georgetown's older historic homes and newer builds where finding the source quickly saves time and money.

Learn More

Slab Leak Detection

Georgetown's expansive clay soils shift with the seasons, putting stress on foundation slabs and the copper pipes running beneath them. Slab leaks are more common here than many homeowners expect, and catching them early is critical to avoiding foundation damage and skyrocketing water bills.

Learn More

Drain Cleaning

Hard water mineral buildup, grease accumulation, and tree root intrusion are all common culprits behind slow or clogged drains in Georgetown homes. We clear blockages thoroughly using professional equipment, restoring proper flow to sinks, showers, and main sewer lines.

Learn More

Sewer Line Replacement

Older sewer lines in Georgetown's established neighborhoods can crack, collapse, or get overtaken by tree roots over decades of use. We assess the condition of your sewer line and provide honest recommendations — whether that's targeted repair or a full replacement to prevent recurring backups.

Learn More

Whole House Repiping

Some of Georgetown's older homes still have galvanized steel pipes that have corroded from the inside out, restricting water flow and introducing rust into the water supply. A full repipe replaces aging infrastructure with durable modern materials, giving your home a reliable plumbing system built for the long run.

Learn More

Water Heater Repair

Georgetown's hard water is tough on water heaters, accelerating sediment buildup and shortening the lifespan of both tank and tankless units. We diagnose water heater issues quickly — strange noises, inconsistent hot water, or leaks around the unit — and repair or replace efficiently so your household isn't stuck without hot water.

Learn More

Garbage Disposal Services

A jammed or leaking garbage disposal is one of those small problems that can create a big mess under your sink. We repair and replace garbage disposals in Georgetown kitchens quickly, with upfront pricing and no unnecessary upselling on equipment you don't need.

Learn More

Gas Line Installation

Whether you're hooking up a new gas range in a Wolf Ranch kitchen or adding a gas line for an outdoor grill in an older Georgetown home, gas line work requires a licensed plumber who knows the local codes. We handle gas line installation safely and correctly from start to finish.

Learn More

Toilet Repair

Running toilets, phantom flushes, and weak flush performance waste water and drive up utility bills. We repair or replace faulty flappers, fill valves, wax rings, and handles — getting your toilet working properly without pushing you toward an unnecessary full replacement.

Water Pressure Issues

Low water pressure is a frustrating and often misunderstood problem. In Georgetown's newer developments, pressure regulators sometimes fail or are set incorrectly. In older homes, mineral-clogged pipes are frequently the culprit. We diagnose the root cause and restore proper pressure throughout your home.

Benefits of Professional Plumbing Repairs in Georgetown

Some plumbing repairs — like a full repipe, sewer line replacement, or water heater upgrade — are significant investments that not every household can absorb all at once. Cold is on the Right offers financing options to help Georgetown homeowners get the work done without putting it off until a small problem becomes a much bigger one. Ask us about financing when you call, and we'll walk you through what's available with no pressure.

We Know Georgetown Homes

Georgetown's housing landscape is genuinely unlike most cities in the Austin area. The older homes clustered around the historic downtown square often have plumbing systems that date back decades, and galvanized pipes, cast iron drain lines, and outdated shutoff valves are all things we run into regularly in that part of town. Those systems need a plumber who understands how they were built and what failure patterns to look for — not someone who's only familiar with modern PEX installations.

At the same time, Georgetown's massive newer communities like Wolf Ranch, Teravista, and Sun City present a different set of realities. Builder-grade fixtures, high-volume water demand on a growing municipal system, and Georgetown's notoriously hard water all contribute to earlier-than-expected wear on water heaters, fixtures, and supply lines. We work across both ends of that spectrum every week, which is exactly why Georgetown homeowners trust Cold is on the Right to get the diagnosis right the first time.

We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a plumbing repair typically cost in Georgetown, TX?
Plumbing repair costs in Georgetown vary depending on the type and complexity of the issue. A straightforward faucet repair or toilet rebuild might run $150 to $300, while leak detection, slab leak repairs, or sewer line work can range from several hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on the scope. We always provide upfront pricing before starting any work so there are no surprises. Georgetown's hard water can accelerate wear on fixtures and water heaters, which sometimes means repairs turn into replacement conversations — we'll always tell you honestly which option makes more financial sense for your situation.
Why is my water bill suddenly higher in my Georgetown home?
A sudden increase in your water bill is one of the most common signs of a hidden leak. In Georgetown, slab leaks are a frequent culprit because the clay-heavy soil shifts seasonally and puts stress on the copper pipes running beneath concrete foundations. Toilet leaks — especially the kind you can't hear — are another common cause and can waste thousands of gallons per month. If your usage hasn't changed but your bill has, it's worth having a plumber do a leak inspection sooner rather than later. Catching a slab leak early can prevent significant foundation and structural damage.
Do older homes near Georgetown's historic downtown have different plumbing problems?
Yes, and it's something we deal with regularly. Homes built in Georgetown's historic district often have galvanized steel supply pipes that have been corroding from the inside for decades, reducing water pressure and sometimes introducing rust into the water supply. Cast iron drain lines are also common and can crack or corrode over time. These older systems require a plumber who understands how they were originally installed and what warning signs to look for. In many cases, a targeted repair can buy more years of service, but sometimes a whole-house repipe is the more cost-effective long-term solution.
My new construction home in Georgetown is only a few years old — why am I already having plumbing issues?
Newer homes in Georgetown's master-planned communities aren't immune to plumbing problems, and a few factors are especially relevant here. Georgetown has very hard water, which accelerates sediment buildup in water heaters and can wear down fixture components faster than homeowners expect. Builder-grade fixtures and fittings installed during high-volume construction phases are sometimes lower quality than what a custom builder would use. Pressure fluctuations on a rapidly expanding municipal water system can also stress supply lines and fittings over time. Getting a plumber to assess your home's pressure and water heater condition proactively can prevent more costly repairs down the road.
How do I know if I have a slab leak in my Georgetown home?
Common signs of a slab leak include warm spots on your floor, the sound of running water when everything is turned off, unexplained increases in your water bill, and cracks appearing in your flooring or baseboards. In Georgetown specifically, the expansive clay soils that shift with rain and drought cycles put above-average stress on slab foundations and the pipes beneath them, making slab leaks more likely here than in areas with more stable soil. If you notice any of these signs, don't wait — slab leaks that go unaddressed can compromise your foundation and lead to far more expensive repairs. A professional leak detection visit can confirm or rule it out quickly.
Does Cold is on the Right offer emergency plumbing service in Georgetown?
Yes, we offer emergency plumbing service in Georgetown. Burst pipes, sewage backups, gas line concerns, and other urgent situations require a fast response, and we're set up to handle those calls. When you contact us for an emergency, we'll get a licensed plumber dispatched to your location as quickly as possible and walk you through any immediate steps you can take — like shutting off your main water supply — while help is on the way. We serve all parts of Georgetown, from the older neighborhoods near downtown to the newer communities on the city's outskirts.
