About Our Drain Services in Pflugerville

Pflugerville has grown fast, but a large portion of its housing stock was built in the 1990s and early 2000s. Those homes are now hitting the age where drain lines start showing wear — buildup accumulates over decades, and pipes that were never inspected can quietly cause bigger problems. At Cold is on the Right, we use plumber's snakes, hydro jetting, and camera inspection to get a clear picture of what's going on inside your drains and clear it out for good.

We work with value-conscious homeowners who want honest answers and fair prices, not upsells. Whether you've got a single clogged kitchen drain or slow flow throughout the house, our licensed plumbers will walk you through exactly what we find and what it takes to fix it. We're locally owned, and we treat Pflugerville homes the same way we'd treat our own.

Drain Services We Provide in Pflugerville

Drain Cleaning

Years of grease, soap scum, and debris build up inside drain lines, especially in homes that are 20 or more years old. Our licensed plumbers use professional-grade tools to clear blockages completely and restore full flow — not just punch a hole through the clog. Regular drain cleaning is one of the most cost-effective ways to protect your plumbing system.

Kitchen Drain Cleaning

Pflugerville kitchens see heavy daily use, and grease, food scraps, and soap residue add up fast in drain lines. When your kitchen sink starts draining slowly or backs up entirely, it usually means buildup has narrowed the pipe to the point where water can barely pass through. We clear kitchen drains thoroughly so you're not dealing with the same problem again in a few weeks.

Bathroom Drain Cleaning

Hair, soap, and toothpaste residue are the usual suspects in bathroom sink and tub clogs. In older Pflugerville homes, these clogs can also be compounded by corroded or narrowed pipes that were never serviced. Our plumbers clear bathroom drains safely without damaging older fixtures and get water flowing freely again.

Toilet Clog Removal

A clogged toilet that doesn't respond to a plunger often points to a blockage deeper in the drain line than most homeowners can reach. We handle everything from stubborn surface clogs to obstructions further down the line that can back up into other fixtures. Fast, clean, and done right so you're not calling us back for the same issue.

Learn More

Hydro Jetting

For drains with heavy grease accumulation, persistent buildup, or slow flow that keeps coming back, hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour the inside of the pipe clean. It's especially effective in Pflugerville homes where drains haven't been professionally cleaned in years. The result is a drain line that flows like new without any chemical damage to your pipes.

Learn More

Drain Camera Inspection

When you have recurring clogs or slow drains and aren't sure why, a camera inspection takes the guesswork out of the diagnosis. We run a small camera through the drain line to see exactly what's going on — whether it's buildup, a crack, root intrusion, or a belly in the pipe. You see what we see, and we give you honest options based on what's actually there.

Sewer Line Services

Drain problems that affect multiple fixtures at once often point to a sewer line issue rather than an individual clog. Pflugerville's established neighborhoods have mature trees whose roots can work their way into older sewer lines over time. We diagnose and address sewer line problems before they turn into sewage backups or yard damage.

Learn More

Sewer Line Replacement

When a sewer line is too damaged or deteriorated to repair effectively, replacement is the right long-term call. We handle full sewer line replacement for Pflugerville homeowners using durable materials and trenchless methods where the layout allows. It's a significant job done with minimal disruption to your yard and landscaping.

Learn More

Drain Line Repair

Cracked, offset, or bellied drain lines cause persistent slow drains and can lead to water damage inside walls or under slabs if left alone. We locate the problem section, explain your repair options clearly, and fix it with materials built to last. Catching a damaged drain line early is far less expensive than dealing with the water damage it can cause down the road.

Emergency Drain Services

A sewer backup or completely blocked drain can't wait until next week. Cold is on the Right offers emergency plumbing service for Pflugerville homeowners when drain problems can't be put off. We respond quickly, diagnose the issue on the spot, and get things flowing again so your household can get back to normal.

Whole-Home Drain Assessment

If you've moved into a 1990s or early 2000s Pflugerville home and have no idea what shape the drain system is in, a whole-home assessment gives you a clear baseline. We check every drain, look for warning signs of buildup or damage, and give you a straightforward report on what needs attention now and what can wait. It's the kind of information every homeowner should have.

We Know Pflugerville Homes

A big chunk of Pflugerville's housing was built during the 1990s and 2000s, which means those homes are now entering the phase where plumbing systems start showing their age. Drain lines in that era were often installed with materials that hold up fine for 20 to 30 years, but eventually accumulate scale, develop cracks, or shift with the expansive clay soils that run through much of the northeast Austin area. We've seen the same patterns repeat across neighborhoods like Windermere, Highland Park, and Falcon Pointe, and knowing what to look for makes the difference between a fast fix and a drawn-out diagnosis.

Newer developments in Pflugerville bring their own set of considerations. New construction plumbing sometimes moves fast, and we occasionally see improper slopes or connections that cause problems for homeowners within the first few years of moving in. Whether you're in a home that was built during the Clinton administration or one that was finished last year, Cold is on the Right brings the same level of care and the same commitment to giving you a straight answer about what your drains actually need.

We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does drain cleaning cost in Pflugerville?
Drain cleaning costs in Pflugerville typically range from $150 to $400 for a standard residential drain, depending on the location of the clog, how deep it is, and the method required to clear it. A simple bathroom sink or tub clog on the lower end, while a main line cleaning using hydro jetting will cost more. We provide upfront pricing before any work begins so you know exactly what you're paying. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges added after the job.
Why do I keep getting the same clog in my Pflugerville home?
Recurring clogs usually mean the drain was never fully cleared, or there's an underlying issue like heavy buildup, a partial pipe obstruction, or a line that has shifted or bellied over time. In Pflugerville homes built in the 1990s and early 2000s, drain lines have had decades to accumulate scale and grease. A camera inspection can show exactly what's going on inside the pipe so we can fix the actual cause instead of just clearing the same spot over and over.
What's the difference between snaking a drain and hydro jetting?
Snaking uses a flexible cable with an auger tip to break through a clog and create an opening in the blockage. It's effective for most standard clogs, especially hair and solid material. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour the entire interior of the pipe clean, removing grease, scale, and buildup from the walls of the line. Hydro jetting is more thorough and is a better option for drains with heavy buildup or chronic slow flow. We'll recommend the right approach after inspecting your drain.
Can tree roots really get into my drain lines in Pflugerville?
Yes, and it's more common than most homeowners expect. Pflugerville's established neighborhoods have mature trees, and roots naturally seek out moisture by growing toward drain and sewer lines. Even small cracks in older pipes can allow roots to enter and grow over time until they cause significant blockages or pipe damage. If you're seeing slow drains throughout your home or sewage odors in your yard, root intrusion is worth ruling out with a camera inspection.
How long does a drain service call usually take?
Most standard drain cleaning appointments take between one and two hours from start to finish. That includes the diagnostic inspection, clearing the drain, and confirming water flow is restored before we leave. More complex jobs involving camera inspections, hydro jetting, or drain line repairs can take longer. We give you a realistic time estimate when we arrive so you're not left wondering how long the job will run.
Should I use chemical drain cleaners from the store before calling a plumber?
We recommend against it. Chemical drain cleaners can provide temporary relief, but they rarely clear a clog completely and can actually damage older pipes over time, particularly in Pflugerville homes with aging plumbing. They also create a hazardous situation for the plumber who arrives afterward, since the chemicals can splash when a drain is opened. If a clog doesn't clear quickly with a basic plunger, it's better to call a professional than risk damaging your pipes with repeated chemical treatments.
