From a dripping faucet in a brand-new build to a slab leak in one of Leander's older neighborhoods near Crystal Falls or Blockhouse Creek, our team has seen it all across this community. Plumbing Repairs We Provide in Leander

Emergency Plumbing

Burst pipes, sewage backups, and sudden leaks don't wait for business hours, and neither do we. Leander families can count on rapid emergency response to stop damage before it spreads through walls, flooring, or your home's foundation. We arrive ready to diagnose and repair on the spot.

Drain Cleaning

New construction homes in Leander sometimes have debris left in lines from installation, and established neighborhoods deal with years of buildup. Slow or completely blocked drains in kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms are one of the most common calls we get. We clear clogs completely — not just temporarily — so your drains flow the way they should.

Learn More

Leak Detection

A hidden leak can waste thousands of gallons and cause serious structural damage before you ever see a water stain. In Leander's newer builds, leaks sometimes originate in connections or fittings that weren't properly sealed during construction. Our plumbers use specialized detection equipment to locate leaks precisely without unnecessary damage to walls or floors.

Slab Leak Detection

Leander's soil conditions and the temperature swings that come with Central Texas weather can put stress on pipes running beneath your home's concrete slab. Slab leaks are often silent until water bills spike or floors start feeling warm in odd spots. We locate slab leaks accurately and walk you through your repair options before any work begins.

Learn More

Whole House Repiping

Some of Leander's older neighborhoods have homes approaching 20 to 30 years old with original polybutylene or galvanized supply lines that are past their useful life. If you're seeing recurring leaks, discolored water, or consistently low pressure throughout the house, a full repipe may be the most cost-effective long-term solution. Our team completes repipe projects efficiently with minimal disruption to your household.

Learn More

Sewer Line Replacement

Tree root intrusion, ground shifting, and aging pipe materials can all compromise your sewer line, and a failed sewer line is not something any family can ignore for long. We inspect, diagnose, and replace damaged sewer lines in Leander using proven methods that restore proper flow and protect your property. We explain your options clearly before recommending the right approach for your situation.

Garbage Disposal Services

Garbage disposals in busy Leander households take a beating, especially in homes with young kids and heavy daily use in the kitchen. Whether yours is jammed, leaking from the base, or simply stopped working, we repair and replace garbage disposals quickly so your kitchen stays functional. We can also upgrade your disposal if the builder-grade unit in your new home isn't holding up.

Learn More

Gas Line Installation

Many Leander homeowners are adding outdoor kitchens, gas grills, or whole-home generators and need gas lines extended or installed safely. Gas work requires a licensed plumber with proper permits, and this is not a job to cut corners on. Cold is on the Right handles gas line installation and repair with the care and expertise this kind of work demands.

Learn More

Water Heater Repair

Whether you have a traditional tank unit or a tankless system that came with your new Leander build, water heater problems mean cold showers and disrupted routines. We repair all makes and models and can advise you on whether a repair or replacement makes more financial sense for your situation. Fast diagnosis and upfront pricing mean you're never left guessing.

Learn More

Toilet Repair

Running toilets, weak flushes, and persistent leaks at the base are common complaints in Leander homes, both new and old. A running toilet can waste hundreds of gallons of water a day, which adds up fast on your water bill. Our plumbers diagnose the root cause and repair it properly rather than applying a temporary fix that fails again in a few weeks.

Faucet and Fixture Repair

Dripping faucets and failing fixtures are often the first sign that builder-grade components in a newer Leander home are ready for an upgrade. We repair and replace faucets, showerheads, and supply line connections throughout your home using quality parts that last. It's a small job that makes a noticeable difference in daily comfort and water efficiency.

We Know Leander Homes

Leander's housing stock is a mix of communities that came up fast in the 2000s and subdivisions that are still being built today, which means we work on everything from homes approaching 20 years old in Blockhouse Creek or Crystal Falls to brand-new builds in Fairways at Crystal Falls and Mason Hills. Older homes in this area often have original builder-grade PVC or copper lines showing their age, while newer construction sometimes brings its own surprises in the form of improperly sealed connections or undersized fixtures that weren't built for a growing family's daily demand.

Leander's position in the Hill Country fringe also means we deal with the kinds of soil movement and extreme temperature swings that stress underground pipes and slab penetrations over time. We've seen firsthand how those conditions contribute to slab leaks and sewer line issues that catch homeowners off guard. When you call Cold is on the Right, you're getting a team that already understands your neighborhood, your home's likely construction era, and the specific failure patterns that show up in this part of Central Texas — so we can get to the right answer faster and get your home back to normal sooner.

Graysen and Andrew from Cold is on the Right came out just a couple hours after I called and took care of cutting out my kitchen faucet. They were professional, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable, explaining everything in a straightforward way without any upselling or confusion. We contacted Cold is on the Right today with an urgent plumbing need. Their very professional and organized crew arrived within 30 minutes and fixed our issue. We called five other plumbing companies before them and no one was able to help us. Cold is on the Right will now be the first plumbers we call.

We called due to slow drainage and apparently main line backing up into master bathroom shower and sink. There is an automated line that takes your information and apparently works very well. Plumbers Billy and Jeremy showed up promptly after we were informed they were being dispatched this morning, they stayed and worked until the problem was solved and advised on possible future repairs that would need to be done. They were professional, smart, respectful of our home, and efficient in their actions. Let us know what things would cost and were honest in their assessment of what would be needed next and how (un) likely our homeowners insurance would be able to help.  I appreciate the service and the fair treatment by these gentlemen. Thank you.

Santiago and Kyle were amazing during our total HVAC system replacement. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and careful to ensure a smooth install. They were efficient and got my AC working before my family arrived for spring break. Now enjoying the cool air with family. Great pricing and quick turn around from quote to finished job. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone needing HVCA or plumbing work.

These guys are prompt and very polite, and explain your options well without trying to upsell. We thought we needed three things replaced, but they showed us that one of the three just needed an adjustment rather than a replacement. Wonderful service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do plumbing repairs typically cost in Leander?
Costs vary quite a bit depending on what needs to be fixed. Simple repairs like a running toilet or a leaky faucet often fall in the $100 to $250 range. More involved work like a slab leak repair or sewer line issue can run from $500 into the thousands depending on the method and extent of damage. We always provide upfront pricing before starting any work, so you'll know the full cost ahead of time and can make an informed decision without any pressure.
My home is a newer build in Leander. Do new construction homes really have plumbing problems?
Yes, and it's more common than most new homeowners expect. Builder-grade fixtures, fittings, and supply lines are often installed to meet minimum code requirements rather than long-term performance standards. We regularly see issues in Leander new builds including improperly seated wax rings on toilets, drain lines with poor slope that cause slow draining, and supply line connections that weren't fully tightened. Catching these early before they cause water damage is always the better outcome, so don't assume everything is fine just because the home is new.
What are the signs of a slab leak in a Leander home?
The most common signs are a water bill that jumps significantly without a change in usage, warm or damp spots on your flooring, the sound of running water when nothing is on, or reduced water pressure throughout the house. Leander's soil conditions and temperature extremes can stress the pipes running under your slab over time, making slab leaks more common than homeowners expect. If you notice any of these signs, it's worth having a plumber investigate quickly because slab leaks can cause serious foundation and flooring damage if left alone.
How long does a typical plumbing repair take?
Many common repairs — replacing a faucet, clearing a clogged drain, fixing a running toilet, or repairing a leaky supply line — are completed within one to two hours during a single visit. More complex jobs like slab leak repair, sewer line work, or repiping a significant portion of the home will take longer, sometimes a full day or more depending on scope. We'll give you a realistic time estimate after we diagnose the problem so you can plan accordingly and aren't left waiting around without knowing what to expect.
Should I try to fix a plumbing problem myself before calling a plumber?
For very simple things like plunging a clogged toilet or replacing a showerhead, DIY is usually fine. But for anything involving supply lines under pressure, drain line connections, gas lines, or anything behind the wall, we'd recommend calling a licensed plumber first. In new construction homes especially, DIY fixes can void manufacturer warranties on fixtures or create issues with your builder's warranty coverage. A quick call to walk through what you're seeing often helps you figure out whether it's something you can handle or something that needs a professional before the situation gets worse.
Do you offer emergency plumbing service in Leander?
Yes, we do. Burst pipes, sewage backups, and major leaks can't wait until the next business day, and we offer emergency plumbing service to Leander homeowners when urgent situations come up. When you call, be ready to describe what you're seeing, including whether water is actively flowing, where it appears to be coming from, and whether you've been able to shut off the water supply. Knowing this information upfront helps us respond faster and arrive prepared with the right materials to address the problem on the spot.
